Understanding what Models are in PE
One of our fellow classmates gave an excellent presentation last week about models in PE. Our classmate explained that a model is like a blue print/foundation for a house. I thought that his example was a great way to explain the basics of what a model is. A model which is just like a blue print is already done for you. You as the PE teacher now have the opportunity to build and improve any items with in that blue print. One important aspect of adding to a model is to always remember that whatever you add must be developmentally appropriate to your class. Thanks again Lewis for helping our class get a better understanding of how a model works.

I really like it when students are proactive and take initiative - it is a great way for me as a teacher to check on student understanding too!
